BEYOND WORDS: Count Us In is a movement of pastors across the United States seeking to dismantle structural injustice and systematic racism.
This effort begins with repentance. On September 25, cities coast-to-coast are hosting liturgies of Repentance and Commitment for white churches to confess their indifference to racial injustice and make their commitment to African American pastors and churches to doing the work of anti-racism.
This commitment moves beyond words to practical action in five categories: building relationships, sharing financial resources, proclaiming anti-racism, and organizing and mobilizing. This effort centers partnership and community; pastors will be paired up with one another to journey together and will also get to participate in city-wide support gatherings.
